Michael Pradel

Michael Pradel, a Hamburg native, is a trained business economist. He spent nine years at the specialist forwarding company HOYER Group before moving to Hapag-Lloyd Italy in 1999.
Here, he held various positions until taking over as Managing Director of the so-called Area Italy. In 2013, Mr. Pradel returned to Hamburg to head Hapag-Lloyd’s Region Europe, later divided into South and North, before assuming the position of Senior Managing Director Global Procurement in May 2022.
In his spare time, you can find Michael Pradel with a fly fishing by the water, unless he is busy taking care of his bonsai trees.
