Harald Professner is someone who views construction not merely as a craft, but as a social responsibility. As Head of Business Development at Rhomberg Holding GmbH, he is rethinking the construction industry from the ground up, from planning through prefabrication, construction, and use all the way to demolition. His driving force: a circular economy that not only conserves resources but also fundamentally changes the way we build and live.
To understand Harald Professner, one must start at the beginning: with the carpenter and joiner who knows the properties of materials and the logic of construction from personal experience and precisely because of this, understands where the limits of the familiar lie and how to overcome them. From this foundation in craftsmanship, he went on to earn his high school diploma, study industrial engineering, earn an MBA, and study civil engineering, and eventually rose to international executive leadership roles. He is convinced that the construction industry has a future only if it is willing to break away from traditional ways of thinking, and consistently embrace new tools, processes, and ideas.
