Guter Grund
Aimée van Baalen is a former spokesperson for Letzte Generation, a leading voice within the climate movement in Germany and has, through protests and public appearances, placed the necessity of consistent action on the political agenda.
As a young person from eastern Germany, she speaks out clearly against social and ecological inequalities and brings forward a perspective that connects democracy with distributional conflicts.
In addition, she is a co-founder of the movement Guter Grund, which connects existing citizens’ initiatives and farmers, supports them in winning local struggles over water and food security and works to improve legal frameworks at the national level.
