Jochen Müller

Jochen Mueller joined the Schaeffler Group in 2008. The Schaeffler Group is already making a decisive contribution to “Mobility for Tomorrow” today with its high-precision components and systems in engine, transmission, and chassis applications, in addition to rolling and plain bearing solutions for industrial applications. Since its beginnings, the Schaeffler company has been characterized by groundbreaking innovations and global customer orientation.

After various responsibilities within Purchasing in Germany, Mr. Mueller transferred in May 2014 to Schaeffler Holding (China) as head of Purchasing Automotive Greater China. He was responsible for the purchasing- and supplier portfolio strategy, the commercial target fulfillment and the all sourcing activities for the Automotive division with sales > 2 billion EUR.

Continuous improvement of through digitalization and the transformation of the supplier base from combustion engine to NEV/Mechatronics have been key achievements.

In November 2018 Mr. Mueller was appointed to the Vice President Purchasing Business Division Chassis Systems in global responsibility with focus on mechatronic Chassis applications and autonomous driving by steer/drive-by-wire.

Before joining the Schaeffler Group, Mr. Mueller has been working in positions in the home appliance industry, BSH Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances, in Germany and Poland and gained working experience in the aviation industry at Lufthansa Cargo AG in USA.

Mr. Mueller holds a diploma degree in business administration with majors in Logistics, Business Informatics and Marketing of FAU University of Erlangen-Nuernberg/Germany.
