Prof. Dr. Elmar Holschbach

Elmar Holschbach is Professor of Organisation and Procurement Management at the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences (Meschede campus). His academic interests include the question of how purchasing can contribute to more and better innovations in the procuring company. He studied at the University of Oxford and the University of St. Gallen, among others, and is the author of numerous publications on the subject of purchasing and organisation.
Elmar has fourteen years of professional experience in purchasing and supply chain management. He began his career at CLAAS KGaA mbH, where he was jointly responsible for software implementations in the areas of eProcurement and supplier integration. He also gained valuable experience in direct and indirect purchasing. He then worked for Capgemini Deutschland GmbH, where he was responsible for major supply chain management reorganisation projects for clients in Germany and abroad. Finally, at SMA Solar Technology AG, he was responsible for parts of supply chain management, such as organisation, contract and process management, and SC controlling.
As a consultant and trainer, Elmar Holschbach helps companies translate scientific findings into operational and financial performance improvements. As a Professional Scrum Master™, SAFe® Agilist and trained systemic coach (isb), he helps project teams to consistently focus on success despite increasing complexity.
