Prof. Dr. Elmar Holschbach

Elmar Holschbach is Professor for Organization and Supply Management at the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences (Meschede). His scientific interests include the question of how purchasing can contribute to more and better innovation in the buying company using agile organizational structures. He studied at the University of Oxford and the University of Sankt Gallen, among others.
Elmar has fourteen years of professional experience in purchasing and supply chain management. He began his professional career at CLAAS KGaA mbH, where he was responsible for software implementations in the area of eProcurement and supplier integration. He also gained valuable experience in direct and indirect purchasing. He then worked for Capgemini Deutschland GmbH, for whose customers he was responsible for major reorganization projects in supply chain management in Germany and abroad. Finally, at SMA Solar Technology AG, he was responsible for parts of the supply chain management, such as organization, contract and process management as well as SC controlling.
As management consultant and coach, Elmar helps companies to translate empirical findings into operational and financial performance improvements. In addition, he also supports purchasing start-ups in their strategy development.
