Sven SCHIRMER has been working in various management functions in Europe since 1996, including in the areas of purchasing, supply chain management or contract management.
Since summer 2019, he has been working as Corporate Procurement Coordinator for ÖBB-Holding AG in Vienna.
In addition to providing group-wide technical support for rolling stock projects, his expertise lies in the implementation of sustainable procurement. In 2020, he developed a groundbreaking model for the integration of environmental impacts into the TCO assessment of all procurement processes and has since been responsible for the internal implementation and further development.
Sven SCHIRMER advises other rail operators and public clients throughout Europe on this topic, such as the German Federal Foreign Office, Deutsche Bahn, SNCF, Swiss and Austrian Post and the German Aerospace Center.
