Sascha Lobo
Sascha Lobo is a journalist, author and digital entrepreneur. He has been present on the web for many years on every conceivable channel. He writes, argues and campaigns for an enlightened and (self-)responsible approach to the possibilities of the World Wide Web, as well as for strict limits on state surveillance. In other words, in his texts and lectures, the man with the red mohawk deals with the effects of digitization on society, the economy, politics and culture.
Since 2011, Sascha Lobo has had his own weekly column at Spiegel Online. In 2014, his post "Das Internet ist kaputt!" ("The Internet is broken!") caused a particular stir in the wake of the spying affair surrounding the NSA. Sascha Lobo studied social and business communication as well as journalism, among other things. He worked for various renowned advertising agencies in the early noughties and founded his own agency specializing in Internet advertising during the New Economy era, but it disappeared from the market again when the New Economy bubble burst. Later, together with Spreeblick blogger Johnny Häusler, he ran the blog marketing agency adnation for several years.
