Dr. Thomas Roemer

Dr. Thomas Roemer serves as Covestro’s Chief Procurement Officer since 2021.

During his career he build up a broad range of experience in sales, marketing, strategy and product management.
He has held leadership positions in the Polyurethanes, Polycarbonates and Thermoplastic Urethanes divisions of Covestro.

Being a German citizen, Thomas has been deployed to the US, South East Europe and Hong Kong on foreign assignments. Besides his role in Covestro, Thomas serves as the co-sponsor of Together-for-Sustainability’s Scope 3 initiative as well in the leadership team of the Schmalenbach Association’s Procurement workgroup.

Thomas’ educational background is in business administration and information systems. He is married with three children and resides in Cologne.
