Thomas Jarzombek

While studying economics in 1996, Thomas Jarzombek set up as an IT service provider and is still a partner in an IT services company today. He has been politically active for over 25 years and has been a member of Düsseldorf City Council and the North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament, among other things. In federal elections in 2009, 2013 and 2017, he was elected directly to the German Parliament. Jarzombek has been regional chairperson of CDU Düsseldorf since 2014, and from 2014 – 2018, he was a spokesperson for the Digital Agenda for the CDU/CSU group in the German Parliament, as well as being a member of the Digital Agenda Committee. He has been a member of the Transport and Digital Infrastructure Committees since 2009, and since April 2018, he has also been the national aerospace coordinator for the federal government within the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy.
