Jochen Schmerbitz

Jochen Schmerbitz is currently holding the position “Head of Project Procurement Management” at thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions. After completing his studies in Business Management Jochen started as a Site Buyer at Dow Chemical in Stade. During his 18 years at Dow he worked in several Specialist- and Management Positions in Procurement/Supply Chain in The Netherlands, USA and China.
In 2009 Jochen moved to Metso Minerals in Germany where - amongst other assignments - he rebuilt the Supply Chain Organization in “Metal Recycling”. Since January 2018 Jochen is employed at thyssenkrupp where he is responsible for managing the global Project Procurement Management organization.
Jochen has wide international experience in Procurement of Machinery and Plant Manufacturing, Site- and Project Purchasing as well as Category- and Supply Chain Management.
