Prof. Dr. Florian C. Kleemann
Hochschule München
More than 20 years passion for procurement - Florian C. Kleemann started his career as a business trainee, leading into studies of international management in Cambridge, Landshut and Oslo. After a number of years in a leading consulting company in their procurement strategy division and a doctoral degree, Florian went into his first professorship in 2015 in Stuttgart. Since 2018, he then took over a chair for Supply Chain Management, focussed on sourcing & procurement at the University of Applied Sciences Munich (“Hochschule München”). Amongst other, he developed and now manages the master’s program on „Digital Sustainable Procurement & Supply Management“.
He there focuses on the key challenges of modern strategic procurement: digitalization, agility, sustainability and resiliency. Yet he thrives to excite students for the field of procurement and to support businesses to transform their procurement function as a consultant. Staying human and humorous is one of Florian’s key principles in doing this – which he proved by publishing a case study on procurement in the Star Wars © universe.
