As Head of Global Procurement at trivago Nils Brauckmann and his team are in charge of all sourcing, as well as the financial planning and implementation of projects across all relevant categories. A techie at heart, the studied innovation manager worked on his own startup and at large technology companies before he became category manager IT at trivago in 2017. As an advocate of technology and innovation the digital transformation of Procurement is an important topic for him, although he thinks that technology should always be an enabler rather than being the end in itself.
