Andreas Roj, 53 years old, has many years of experience as a manager in strategic purchasing and supply chain management in both corporations and medium-sized companies. The focus of his work is the reorganization and further development of the areas of responsibility in an international context. After working at Philips and in the biotechnology industry, Andreas Roj has been at home in mechanical and plant engineering since 2002. There he initially worked for the Körber Group for 12 years, where, among other things, he helped set up corporate purchasing before he switched to the LMT Group to set up the Group's strategic purchasing. Meanwhile he is chairman of the materials management working group at the VDMA. Its core competence is value creation management in the company, which always raises the question of what the company's core competence is. Answering this question enables companies, on the one hand, to make costs more flexible without losing core know-how.
