Peter Köhne

Peter Köhne is the Chief Procurement Officer at SPEIRA, a globally leading aluminum rolling and recycling company. He is also the Co-Chair of the German chapter of the Sustainable Procurement Pledge, an international non-profit bottom-up organization for procurement professionals, academics, and practitioners that promotes awareness and knowledge of responsible procurement practices and empowers people in procurement. Peter is a passionate advocate for sustainable procurement that creates value for his company and the future of our children.

Peter stands for open communication and a positive attitude and uses these winning factors in dealing with his team, colleagues, suppliers and customers. For him, the focus is on people, who are responsible for sustainable success. He strengthens the strengths of his employees, develops his team and opens up opportunities for responsibility.

With a technical and business degree and more than 20 years of experience in direct and indirect Procurement, he focuses on strategic corporate goals and best-in-class performance. Personally, he is passionate about driving 'NewWork' change and 'Sustainable Procurement' within the company and beyond.

Peter is happily married, has a 17-year-old daughter and a funny GoldenDoodle dog and lives in the beautiful Muensterland/NRW.
