Since the 1990s, Robin has gained extensive experience in investment and outsourcing to Central and Eastern Europe, initiating and managing a wide range of investments with a broad industry portfolio in this region.
Martens has many years of experience in process and performance optimization according to the value chain based "Serve-2-Value" principle in the field of business services and has led dozens of multinational as well as international companies in optimizing their business processes.
In the 1990s, he initiated the first open MBA program for value chain managers at Erasmus University and served as its director for many years.
He also served on the European Board of APICS Supply Chain Council for many years and brings more than 25 years of experience in reviewing processes and organizations of
companies where he supported the optimization of their integrated decision processes.
