Andre Schommer assumed the position of Vice President Procurement for Paint & Final Assembly Systems at DÜRR Group in March 2020. He started his career at the engineering services provider EDAG. There, he managed a vehicle development project in the USA. In 2003, he joined Daimler, became a vehicle integration manager at SMART and later a product strategist in the truck division, where he took over management tasks in joint ventures in Russia and China. In 2010, he moved to the purchasing department: André Schommer managed localization projects, built up the Mercedes purchasing organization in Russia and was given global responsibility for Best Cost Country Sourcing and Supplier Evaluation in the truck division
