As a trained forwarding merchant Dr. Ulrich Franke completed his PhD in economics at Cranfield University in the UK. He worked for many years in leading positions with manufacturing and logistics companies in Germany and abroad. Furthermore, he was Professor for Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the University for Logistics and Economics in Hamm (Germany). He led this specialized university as CEO and academic rector for more than 3 years. In 2019 Dr. Franke joined Cassini Consulting AG. With the increasing digitization of logistics processes, the need to secure information flows, e.g. through the new blockchain technology, has become an essential part his deep supply chain expertise. Together with his team he offers seminars, workshops and consulting in the area of “Digitalisation and Automatisation of Supply Chain Processes” to his customers.
