Michael Rutkowski is responsible for global supply chain management and strategic and operative procurement at Picanova GmbH. Picanova is the global market leader in the area of customized wall decorations and personalized home and lifestyle products. Across its six production locations in Cologne, Miami, Phoenix, Riga Stettin and Shanghai, Picanova manufactures durable, high-quality premium products. An innovative and extensive distribution network and various holdings in locations like London and Hong Kong enable them to reach end clients in more than 170 countries. Before he took on this role, Michael was a business consultant for procurement optimization projects for companies such as PwC. In addition to several reorganization and cost-reduction projects, he assisted his clients in the development of roadmaps for digitalization and procurement. Furthermore, he worked as a strategic purchaser in manufacturing companies for several years. Michael Rutkowski has more than 15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management. As an expert in procurement transformations and digitalization, he has successfully managed numerous projects in both e-commerce and manufacturing companies. In doing so, he has globally managed a diversity of product groups in direct and indirect material and has always succeeded in generating sustainable savings.
