Michael Schmidt

Michael Schmidt (MBA) is CPO at the Jokey Group since 2014. Overall, Mr. Schmidt is working in the fields of materials management, logistics and procurement for more than 16 years. Many of them in various management positions for a large corporation with a procurement volume in the billions of billions.

After a short period of analysis, he launched the Global Procurement Excellence (GPE) program at Jokey in summer 2014. The focal points of this program were the repositioning of procurement department in line with the strategic importance of this area within the Jokey Group and the optimization of value added from procurement.

In 2017 Michael Schmidt and his team received the "BME Innovation Award" for the successful implementation of the GPE program. This was the first time the innovation prize was awarded to a medium-sized company. This success is due in particular to the balance of digitization, employee qualification and added value, according to the jury.
