Martin Lachner

As Head of Procurement, I am responsible for all procurement within the PROFIL group, both strategic and operational. PROFIL Verbindungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG is an important and internationally represented system provider for the automobile industry and its suppliers. Since 2014, PROFIL Verbindungstechnik GMbH & Co. KG has belonged to the PennEngineering company group. This strong bond has allowed us to significantly strengthen our global presence and boost our growth.

Procurement now occupies a much larger position within the company group, which is reflected in the creation of a Global Purchasing Council. In this council, I have been assigned responsibility for raw material procurement of steel wire.

I have 16 years of professional experience in the fields of special mechanical engineering and mass production. Since 2007, I have been in leadership roles with PROFIL Verbindungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG. As is typical for a medium-sized company, I am present with my departments in all areas. The procurement team focuses on raw materials (21%), capital goods (15%), surfaces and heat treatments (7%). Further important procurement areas include press tools, drawing parts, logistics and energy.
