Dr. Boris Idler

Dr. Boris Idler has been driving the success of digitalization projects in procurement for years and developed the Procurement Excellence department at Festo AG. This deals globally with the areas of supply chain, direct and indirect purchasing, innovation procurement and supplier quality. Alongside developing digitalization strategies, his passion lies in drawing up projects and implementing them successfully. Several positions in consulting and international conglomerates in various industries afford him multiple perspectives and allow him to successfully mediate within stakeholder groups. He is convinced that the integration of internal and external partners is particularly important for a successful digitalization strategy in purchasing. Organizational development across company boundaries is a key element, which all too often is not given sufficient consideration. For example, Dr. Idler also offers digitalization training for salespeople, so that they can understand the procurement of the future and compete successfully in the area.
